Just announced on the Carlsbad Marathon site:

“The half marathon is now sold out. There are currently less than 120 spots remaining for the full marathon. Please note: You may not register for the full marathon and participate in the half marathon.

If you wanted to participate in the half marathon, but haven’t registered yet, you may be able to obtain one of the limited number of spots available through our Official Charities. These spots require a minimum fundraising commitment of $500 in addition to the full entry fee. [www.carlsbadmarathon.com has] a contact list for the charities who have entry spots available. These will go fast so be sure to contact one of the charities today to secure your spot!”
